Shawn Einck
Caregiver / Research Assistant
Shawn comes to the Gorilla Foundation with eight years of animal care experience. He started his career as a veterinary technician, caring for a variety of animals ranging from the smallest mouse to two-hundred pound Great Danes. While completing his Bachelor’s degree in Theatre at San Francisco State University Shawn became proficient in American Sign Language and grew an immense respect and appreciation for non-verbal communication.
Shawn honed his skills in veterinary medicine and began looking towards hospital management. Shawn has managed the East Bay SPCA Spay and Neuter Clinic in Oakland and the VCA Lewelling Animal Hospital in San Leandro.
Shawn’s life has always been graced with the pitter patter of four-legged animals which currently includes Osgood (a Blue Domestic Short Hair Cat), Baci (a Black and White Border Collie Mix), and Kysee (“Key-sa,” a Black and White Great Dane.
Shawn is ecstatic to be working with the Gorilla Foundation. He hopes to spread the enthusiasm and importance of Conservation through Communication and looks forward to his involvement with this unique program, this growing and progressive Organization, and working closely with these remarkable creatures..
